The Project

For the McDonald’s Oster 2024 Campaign, we went into the illustrative amusement park ‘Brosterland’. With the commercial being a blend of live action, animatronics, animation and a clear vision of director John Nolan, I got to create the storyboard for the animation part. This definitely was a great rollercoaster ride to be part of!

Exploration

Three friends in the train stumble upon ‘Rocky’, the Brosterhase and main character of our commercial. As they open the MyMcDonald’s App, we get transitioned into the dynamic and quick-paced world of Brosterland, where we see the group having the time of their lives. We all initially got a lot of ideas for this wonderful world, which we put together in a rough version of the storyboard.

Working it out

Having a lot of ideas in this version of the storyboard, the next challenge was to fit the entire commercial into 30 seconds, which meant cutting and tweaking. Scenes were altered or removed entirely, to save time or to make room for new scenes. We ended up with a high paced, excitement-filled tour through Brosterland, with our group of friends having the most of fun!
